Free BookHouse Concert: Daphne Parker Powell (New Orleans Songwriter – Jazz/Folk/Pop)

Enjoy an evening of genre-spanning music with Daphne Parker Powell! Raised on Appalachian Old Time and traditional folk music, Powell brings a unique Americana sound shaped by folk, country, vocal jazz, indie rock, and cinematic pop influences. Her powerful, original songs blend heartfelt storytelling with rich melodies, creating a performance that is both deeply rooted and refreshingly modern. A songwriter, producer, and award-winning artist, Powell’s music has been featured in film and television and has earned praise as “the voice of futuristic folk-rock/alternative-roots music.” All ages welcome. Refreshments available for a small cost; donations appreciated. Doors open at 6:30 PM; concert begins at 7:00 PM.
