Pawpaw Workshop: Learn to Grow and Then Taste a Unique Native Fruit
Join Penn State Extension Master Gardeners, Monroe County, for a hands-on workshop on growing American pawpaw trees. Learn about this “tropical-like” fruit’s history and get tips on selecting plants, site planning, soil prep, planting, and care. Fruit tasting included (The fruit is safe to eat, but do not eat seeds or skin.). Pawpaw may cause contact dermatitis in some people. Possible exposure to allergens from fruit samples. Adults only/Ages 18+. This event will be held in our Hughes downstairs Community Room.
