Intro to HAM Radio/Amateur Radio

The Eastern Pennsylvania Amateur Radio Association invites you to a presentation at the
Eastern Monroe Public Library exploring the world of amateur (HAM) radio and how wireless communication can function independently of the internet or satellites.
Whether you’re completely new to HAM radio or simply curious to learn more, this program will introduce the basics of how amateur radio works, the benefits of becoming a licensed operator, and the process of obtaining an FCC license. We’ll discuss common equipment, the many ways operators use radio for recreation, public service, emergency communications, and the global community of radio enthusiasts and volunteers.
