How to Grow Garlic: A Workshop with the Penn State Master Gardeners
Ready to grow your own garlic? Join Penn State Extension Master Gardeners, Monroe
County, for a hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop covering everything you need to
know to grow healthy, flavorful garlic in your home garden. Learn when and how to plant
garlic, prepare the soil, properly space cloves, and care for your plants throughout the
growing season. We’ll also cover harvesting, curing, and storing garlic.
October is the ideal time to plant garlic, so come learn how to get yours in the ground
and set yourself up for a successful harvest! Garlic bulbs will be provided. Perfect for
home gardeners of all experience levels.
