Join the library’s local history and genealogy librarian Jim for History Talk: Elk v. Wilkins (1884) and the Fight for Native American Citizenship. This program examines the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision and its significance for the citizenship and voting rights of Native Americans. A program that is part of America250 – a bipartisan initiative to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States – which invites us to explore the founding and history of the United States.
