Now Hiring: Part-Time Circulation Clerk

Hughes Library is seeking a Part-Time, Permanent Circulation Clerk to join our team. This role is ideal for those looking for a long-term, part-time opportunity in a vibrant library and community setting or for those looking to for entry experience in the library field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check materials in and out
  • Register patrons and manage accounts
  • Assist with customer service inquiries
  • Sort and shelve materials
  • Provide basic directional and program information
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, and monitor library equipment
  • Some evening and weekend shifts required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Strong customer service and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks
  • Criminal background check and child abuse clearance required
