May Book Club Selections at Eastern Monroe Public Library
Eastern Monroe Public Library invites anyone to join our upcoming book club meetings! Each group offers a unique format and reading experience, with both in-person and virtual options available.
HUB Book Club
The HUB Book Club will meet on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30 PM in the Eisemann Room, with a Zoom option available for those who prefer to attend remotely. This month’s selection is The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz.
This monthly hybrid book club meets on the first Tuesday evening of each month and is open to all readers. Copies of the selected title are available through the library catalog, as well as some copies available through digital platforms such as Libby and Hoopla. New members are always welcome. BookTalk Book Club
The BookTalk Book Club will meet on Wednesday, May 13 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Board Room. The group will discuss Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro.

Kaleidoscope Book Club
The Kaleidoscope Book Club will meet on Thursday, May 21 at 6:00 PM in the Pullen Room, with a Zoom option available. The theme for May is “Service & Sacrifice: Military + LGBTQIA+.”
This group follows a “choose-your-own-read” format, encouraging participants to select a title that reflects the monthly theme. The Kaleidoscope Book Club meets on the third Thursday of each month and celebrates LGBTQ+ authors, characters, and narratives. Smithfields Omnivorous Readers Book Club
The Smithfields Omnivorous Readers Book Club will meet on Thursday, May 14 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM via Zoom. The theme for May is “Flowers.”
