Computer & Technology Classes

The Library offers one-hour introductory tech classes on Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, covering a variety of computer and technology subjects! Classes are held in the second-floor Pullen Room of the Hughes Library.

Classes are generally limited to five (5) students. Our computer classes are free! You may sign up for any or all classes by visiting the Hughes 2nd-floor Reference Desk, or call 570-421-0800 x. 317. Please contact the Reference Desk at least 24 hours in advance if you must cancel, as space is limited and demand can be high.

Please note: Classes may occasionally change due to staff availability. In case of cancellations, we will do our best to contact you. In winter, check our website or Facebook page for any delays or closures.

Zoom Basics Class: Essential Skills for Video Meetings & Online Connections
Thursday, 1/26/2026, 2pm Learn how to set up Zoom, join meetings, adjust audio/video, and use essential features. Basic computer or smartphone/tablet skills recommended. One-on-One Tech Help Sessions: Get Personalized Answers to Your Technology Questions

Need help with a specific tech question? Join us for one-on-one assistance with our librarians. Get help with computers, phones, e-book borrowing, library databases, WiFi connections, and other basic technology topics. We provide instruction and guidance only—we cannot repair or fix devices. Registration highly recommended to guarantee a 15-minute time slot; walk-ins welcome only if assistance is available. Registered participants receive priority.
