Help Restock Our Self-Care Cart at Hughes Library

At Hughes Library, we serve a diverse community with varying needs. Often personal care items can make a significant difference in someone’s day. That’s why we offer our Self-Care Cart, providing essential hygiene and self-care items to anyone in need, with no questions asked.

Currently, our Self-Care Cart is in urgent need of several key items, as our supplies have been depleted or are running low. The following items are especially needed:

High-Priority Items Needed:

  • Shaving Cream (mini/travel size)
  • Tissues (travel packs)
  • Nail Clippers
  • Hand Wipes/Hand Sanitizer
  • Bandages/First Aid Supplies
  • Hand/Body Lotion (mini/travel size)
  • Shampoo (all hair types, mini/travel size)
  • Hair Brushes
  • Sunscreen
  • Chapstick/Lip Balm
  • Soap Bars
  • Body Wash (mini/travel size)
  • Deodorant
  • Combs/Hair Picks

Items Currently Well-Stocked: (but we will always accept) 

  • Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
  • Razors
  • Tampons, Pads, Liners
  • Socks
  • Hair Conditioner (all hair types)

How You Can Help:

Next time you’re shopping, please consider picking up a few extra travel-size personal care items to donate. Items can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk at Hughes Library (1002 N. 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360). Larger donations are also welcome and greatly appreciated.

Please note: Donations should be dropped off inside the library—do not leave items in the book drop.
