The Hughes Library in Stroudsburg has two community rooms that are available at no charge to local non-profit groups:
• The Conference Room (also called “the Board Room”) has a large table seating ten people. There is room for limited seating around the perimeter.
• The Edinger Community Room holds a maximum of 130 people. This room has folding walls that allow it to be divided into smaller rooms.
• The Smithfields branch has a community room that can accommodate groups up to 49. To reserve the Smithfields community room, please call 570-223-1881.
Call the reference desk at (570) 421-0800 ext. 316 or ext. 317 to reserve either the conference room or the Edinger Community Room at the Hughes Library.
Reservations for the current year are accepted at any time. Reservations for the next calendar year are accepted beginning October 15. All groups must reserve space for the next calendar year on or after October 15. For 2016 calendar, we will start accepting monthly reservation on October 15, 2015. Before using one of our community rooms for the first time, non-profit groups are required to submit a Meeting Room Agreement Form. Click here to read this form and print it. This form can is also available at the reference desk on the second floor of the Hughes Library.
Use of either meeting room is subject to the “Use of Meeting Rooms/Library Facilities” policy.
