Meeting Rooms
The Hughes Library in Stroudsburg has four community rooms available at no charge to local non-profit groups:
- Board Room: Features a large table seating 10 people, with limited additional seating around the perimeter.
- Edinger Community Room: Holds a maximum of 100 people. While folding walls are available to divide the space, the room is typically maintained as a single open area and should not be reconfigured without prior approval and staff assistance.
- Pullen Room (Upstairs): Includes a conference table that seats 8, with a maximum capacity of 14 people for the room.
- Eisemann Room (Upstairs): Located near the elevator, this room includes four movable tables and has a maximum capacity of 20 people.
Smithfields Branch: The ESSA Foundation Conference Room can accommodate up to 6 people. It includes a large table and a television for use. To reserve this room, please call 570-223-1881.
To reserve any of the Hughes Library meeting rooms, including the Community Room, call the 2nd Floor Reference Desk or click HERE for the Hughes Library 2026 Meeting Room Agreement Form. Before using a meeting room for the first time, non-profit groups must submit this form, which is also available at the Hughes Library Reference Desk. Use of meeting rooms is subject to the Use of Meeting Rooms/Library Facilities Policy. Please note that several updates have recently been made to this policy.
