Library Book Clubs
  • HUB – Hughes United Book Club – HUB meets at the Hughes Branch Library in the upstairs Eisseman Room on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. You can view the group’s schedule HERE.   • Kaleidoscope Book Club  – A choose-your-own-read adult book club centered on LGBTQ+ authors, characters, stories, and experiences across all genres. Third Thursdays of each month at 6:00 PM. Hybrid format: in-person and via Zoom. Click HERE to see future dates and monthly themes. Each month features a theme with suggested titles provided in advance, but you’re free to choose any book that fits—on the list or not. Haven’t finished your book? Join the conversation anyway.   • ORB – Omnivorous Readers Book Club – ORB is the Smithfields Library Branch’s book club that meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:00 – 9:00 pm. The schedule is HERE. Members read their own chosen book, so be prepared to share your thoughts on a book you have read based on the month’s theme. Everyone is welcome.   • The BookTalk Book Club – This book discussion group meets at 1 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Formerly meeting at our Pocono Township Branch, the club now meets at our Hughes Branch. Community Book Clubs
  • The Pocono Book Club – The Pocono Book Club meets on the 1st or 2nd Saturday of each month from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm. They rotate between various local eateries, from Delaware Water Gap to Tannersville, to discuss the monthly selection over brunch. The schedule is HERE. Anyone is welcome to attend. The book club can be found through Meetup.com HERE–a small questionnaire is to be filled out. Bonus get-togethers include: Dinner & a Movie, dramatic readings, and author visits.
